The client had a specific strategy they wanted to monitor across the crypto futures market. Checking hundreds of trading pairs manually to find when the strategy's conditions were met was time-consuming and easy to miss. They needed an automated way to continuously scan the market and notify them whenever a predefined condition was triggered.
02
Python automation script that continuously monitors Binance USDT perpetual futures and checks the market against predefined conditions. When a condition is met, the script automatically sends an alert through a Telegram bot(that is already part of daily use.), allowing the monitoring process to run in the background without requiring a dashboard or manual checks.
Challenges & decisions
Running continuous monitoring
The script needed to monitor a large number of futures pairs continuously without requiring manual interaction. The monitoring process was designed to run automatically in the background and repeatedly check the market data.
Defining reliable alert conditions
The alert conditions needed to be precise enough to trigger only when the predefined market criteria were met. The detection logic was kept rule-based and deterministic rather than relying on an AI model.
Monitoring many market pairs
Monitoring hundreds of pairs creates more opportunities for unnecessary API requests and processing. The script was designed to scan the available USDT perpetual pairs efficiently during each monitoring cycle.
Keeping the monitor running
The system needed to keep running even when the development machine was offline. The script was deployed as a background service on a DigitalOcean server using systemd.

Crypto Futures Alert is a focused market-monitoring automation project built with Python. It removes the need to manually watch multiple futures markets by continuously checking predefined conditions and delivering alerts through Telegram when they are triggered.
How it works
A Python process runs the monitoring loop: it pulls market data for Binance USDT perpetual futures, evaluates the incoming values against the predefined conditions, and — when one is satisfied — hands the alert to the Telegram delivery step, which sends the message to the configured chat. Because the conditions are predefined rather than inferred, what the script will and will not alert on is known in advance.
